here's a little recap in short....

1. eric saw my family (aunts, uncles, grandpa, etc) at my dad's 60th bday bash for the first time since the accident.  was a bit scary, cuz we've been hiding it from my grandpa for the past year.....he's almost 90 with a heart condition and we were afraid this might cause stress to his already frail body....he took it well, everything went smoothly and that was just one more thing we got through.....what a blessing it is to have such a supportive family.

2.  eric's wound on his butt finally healed about a month ago...but 2 days later he got one on his foot! =(
it's healing.....hopefully it won't take as long as the first one!  he'll be back at therapy hopefully in the next few weeks....

3.  eric was reunited with one of his friends who happens to have the same name as my sister (monah chung)
it was a truly blessed time and we're gonna hang with her again this friday at LACMA!  we're lookin forward to that.  mona, you were such an encouragement and i was so happy to finally meet you!

4.  trial date is set for oct. 7.  we're praying that everything goes smoothly as we and our attorneys are in the last stages of preparing for this...

5.  we've been able to make it out to church for the last 4 weeks, and God has been using our friends and pastor at church to be a tremendous source of encouragement and support. 

6.  i'm going back to work officially starting next tuesday.  my crazy hectic schedule begins all over again.  my prayer is that i will be able to live a more balanced life this year.  that means less time by eric's side which is very hard to do, but we both know that it's healthier for us individually as well as for our relationship.

also! we found a new roommate! my friend becky park will be our 4th roommate...so praise God for finding us a roommate in such a timely manner!  she was looking for a place and we were looking for a new person, so it all worked out ever so perfectly!

i made dinner for eric on his actual birthday.  he requested dduk mandoo gook, galbi, nakji bokum, tofu jorim, and japchae......yum yum  =)

It's been a year.
What a year it has been...
Thanks for all your prayers....
Please continue to pray for us...

Here are some requests:
1.  Eric's health (still fighting the sore-it's been close to 4 months...) Please pray that it heals quickly and that he is able to start PROJECT WALK again.
2. Us- please pray we continue to rely on God's power to  carry us through as He has this past year. Please pray that we would grow together to have patience and love.  We are going through some real relationship stuff, learning to do things differently and ultimately learning to "accept" the things we cannot change and find happiness in it all.
3.  Parents- They have been so strong through it all.  Please pray for their health and the stresses that come with the financial part of all of this. 
4.  We are approaching some key months with the legal part of this.  Please pray that we trust in God to provide for all of our needs present and future.
